Bio
Germán Mauricio Mejía R. is a Colombian designer. Since his graduation in 1998 has explored digital and interactive design issues in different media through design practice, research and teaching. He is assistant professor of Visual Design department in the University of Caldas, Colombia. In 2007, he was awarded as a Fulbrighter (Colciencias Regions) to study a Master of Design at University of Cincinnati. He is planning to start a PhD in Design at University of Minnesota by fall 2010. He is currently interested in design practice and research about interfaces that use appropiate technologies and design principles in order to impact society and reduce social gaps.
